In Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB), representatives of FFL, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking and TOPICA English Education Joint Stock Company, a member of TOPICA Edtech Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on December 29, 2022.
The agreements with TOPICA will offer opportunities for internship and recruitment among the FFL students, as well as allow for collaboration in training and research betwween the two organizations in the years to come.
Representatives of TOPICA introduced the "Young Academic Talent" scheme which has been implemented since December 29, 2022. This initiative aims to recruit and train interns for its several academic programs as well as offers permament, full time positions to students with excellent performance during their intership.
Representatives from TOPICA Edtech Group included Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phat - CEO of the company; Ms. Chau Huy Hoa Ai - Academic Director and Ms. Le Thi Thuy Trieu - Director of UNI. Representing Ho Chi Minh University of Banking were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Thieu Dao - Vice Rector; Dr. Tran Trong Huy - Deputy Head of Academic Affairs Department; Dr. Nguyen The Binh - Director of the Institute for Research; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Dung - Vice Dean, and several lecturers from FFL.

Speaking at the ceremony, TOPICA’s representatives promised more internship positions for students from FFL, HUB. Ms. Chau Huy Hoa Ai, Academic Director, TOPICA Edtech Group says “The signing of this memorandum of understanding plays an important role in TOPICA's long-term strategy with an aim to find and foster young talents who wish to develop themselves in different academic areas apart from teaching. This shows TOPICA's effort to invest in human resources by training young talents for executive positions in the organization in the near future."
Ms. Chau Huy Hoa Ai and Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Dung signed the MOU documents.
“The agreement will allow our senior students to have internship and further job opportunities in a dynamic and challenging environment like TOPICA. The feedback on interns from TOPICA will also allow FFL to reflect on the quality and practicality of the training programs for further improvement”, says Ms Nguyen Ngoc Phuong Dung, Vice Dean, FFL, HUB.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Thieu Dao, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking foresees more opportunities for cooperation between the FFL and TOPICA: ‘We could further develop more joint programs including short-term English training programs for Faculty lecturers; cooperation in research; evaluation of student quality, and improvement and adjustment of training programs to better suit the needs of recruiters and the market; or other meaningful community-oriented programs based on the strengths of the two organizations towards the goal of sustainable development’.
