On the afternoon of October 26, 2019 at Majestic Saigon Hotel, the Taipei’s Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City held the 2019 Conference on Teaching Taiwanese Chinese - Vietnamese. The representatives of Taiwan included lecturers from Open University, My Hoa University of Technology, Van Tao University of Foreign Languages, and Taiwanese teachers at the Taipei School (based in Ho Chi Minh City), Taiwanese lecturers sent by Taiwan to teach at universities in the Southern Vietnam.
On the other hand, there were lecturers representing universities in Ho Chi Minh city and neighboring provinces such as Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, University of Social Sciences and Humanities under Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Informatics, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Van Hien University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology , Lac Hong University, Dong Thap University, Thu Dau Mot University, etc. The conference consists of two sections: reports of the representatives of Vietnam and a workshop on teaching methods presented by the representative of Taiwan respectively.
