𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄 is a dubbing competition in English for university students which is co-hosted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Youth Union and Student Union of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB). Following the success of the previous two seasons, Sound to Sense Season 3 has made an official comeback with an aim to discover new talents among several universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
The competition preliminaries took place from November 6, 2023, to November 25, 2023. In this round, more than 60 teams submitted dubbed videos to the organizers. Among them, the top 10 outstanding teams were selected to advance to the Semi-Finals, which took place on December 17, 2023. After this round, the five teams with the most convincing performances secured their tickets to the grand finale.
The Gala Night of Sound to Sense 2023 took place at 6:00 PM on January 10, 2024, at the auditorium of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, featuring various exceptional performances and acts. The participating teams delivered impressive performances in the presence of lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, representatives from the gold sponsor - ZIM Academy, representatives from organizations and over 600 students from universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to immersing in perfect performances encompassing sound, visuals, lighting, and stage, the audience also witnessed the professionalism of the contest's panel of judges, who provided fair and detailed evaluations and results. The remarks and evaluations from Dr. Le Thi Thuy Nhung from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, Ms. Hoang Kieu Khanh, and Mr. Huynh Vu Thach contributed significantly to the overall success of the finale.
Furthermore, the resounding success of the contest is partly attributed to the dedicated organizing committee and the accompanying support from the sponsors, particularly the gold sponsor, ZIM Academy.
After four intense hours of work, the final rankings were determined as follows:
