According to Decision 568_QD_DHNN (dated 06 May 2014), the Thesis Defense Board of for Course-26 students majoring in English Language was founded with M.A. Hoa Phan Thi Le as chairperson, M.A. Bao Le Nguyen as Counselor, and M.A. Chau Vo Thi Bao as Secretary.
Attending this Defense session, there were other lecturers from the Foreign Language Department, together with family and friends of the thesis defenders and other students from younger fellow students coming to broaden experience in defending graduation thesis.
After days of careful and thorough preparation from thesis instructors, most defenders could gain great confidence in the process of defending their thesis in front of the Board. The theses of An Duong Le Thien (Speed Reading Skills of English-majored Freshmen) and Cuc Nguyen Ngoc (How to Improve Listening Skill for Non-English-majored Freshmen) were highly appreciated by the Board for its practical application. Throughout the session, defenders demonstrated such a high level of academic proficiency in English.
The Board also came up with many constructive, valuable, sensible and helpful suggestions for thesis defenders; which would surely help them with invaluable experience for their upcoming stage of studying and researching in the near future. It was obvious that the session had become a fruitful regular exchange on English major for students.
The session ended successfully, indicating remarkable achievement after four profitable years learning and training to overcome obstacles at Banking University Ho Chi Minh city. With such specialist qualification and English fluency, professionally-trained soft skills, students of Course 26 majoring in English language would certainly gain positive advantages in future major and postgraduate training.
