Ho Chi Minh City, April 24, 2024 - A seminar on “Application of Chat GPT in Designing Exercises for English Reading courses” was held by the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking. Organized by the Language Skills Division, the seminar aimed to share experiences in applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology to design exercises for English reading skills courses, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning of Reading courses.

Presenting at the seminar, Mr. Phan Anh, a lecturer in the Language Skills Department, with his extensive experience in integrating technology into education, shared his experiences of using Large Language Models (LLMs) and ChatGPT for teaching Reading courses. He provided detailed instructions on how to use tech tools and apps in designing English reading exercises for different groups of students with diverse needs.
Mr. Phan Anh also shared his hands-on experiences and offered step-by-step instructions on how to design exercises using ChatGPT, including generating reading comprehension exercises in various forms such as multiple-choice, gap fill, sentence arrangement, and vocabulary review exercises for different lessons.

The seminar concluded with a discussion and trial practices led by the faculty members. The event received positive feedback from the participants who gained valuable knowledge and first-hand experiences of making use of ChatGPT in designing English reading exercises.
