On 8 November, 2022, the Faculty of Foreign Languages, HUB hosted a workshop entitled “Enhancing language lecturers’ capacity for research” for language lecturers, students, and researchers from HUB and other academic institutions to share their hands-on experiences and insights about research.
The featured speakers included:
- Dr. Lê Thị Thanh Thu - Director of the Joint program - Open University
- Dr. Đặng Tấn Tín, Head of Foreign Language Faculty - University of Education and Technology
- Dr. Lâm Thành Nam, Head of Foreign Language Faculty - Vietnam Aviation Academy
- Dr. John R. Baker - Lecturer, Tôn Đức Thắng University
In her presentation, Dr. Lê Thị Thanh Thu opened up opportunities for doing higher research degrees in Vietnam and abroad; Dr. Lâm Thành Nam shared his experiences of designing posters and delivering presentations at international conferences; Dr. Đặng Tấn Tín discussed ways to enhance research capacity including building a research community of practice; and Dr. John R. Baker went over some experiences of successfully submitting and presenting at international conferences.
The mentioned presentations were followed by the panel discussion between the speakers and HUB lecturers and other participants.
